    As I did not create a recovery disk as prompted, there seems to be no way to recover the boot loader/data. I'm going to wipe the HD and start fresh.

    Updates:

    I ran chkdsk + scandisk - no issues.
    Ran through all the commands for the windows 7 repair CD despite it not being able to find my Windows partition.

    Now I can't even boot into Linux...
