    Probably not, will you do the honours?
    I found a sort of workaround though: when I need to access a SD card, I boot of my old maverick kernel, then it works.

    If ps doesn't pick up what is using the cpu then I'd assume it must be something in the kernel. I had freezes that was caused by swapping;
    and my overheating cpu didn't help either - after cleaning...

    I got it working by copying the vmmon.tar
    from my vmware source
    vmware-player-distrib/lib/modules/source/vmmon.tar
    to the patch
    vmware-any-any-update116

    and then ran...
