You need physical access to the computer first... :)
You can protect GRUB with a password btw. :)
sudo apt-get install x-dev x-window-system-dev
should do the trick. :)
You may ask backports developers for adding it to the repository.
There's a quick guide if you want to create a Debian package by your own:

You can always use alien to convert RPM, TGZ, etc. packages to DEB ones but it may not work if you install them then.
sudo alien -d <some_package.rpm>
I can prove it on my machine. With IDE as a module copying large files around the system is incredibly slow.
Your performance may dramatically increase if you recompile the kernel with IDE compiled in the kernel instead of as a module. On the other side, your new kernel may not boot at all which is not that...
libgnome2-java is not part of the official GNOME desktop. I don't think it should matter which version it has. If it works with GNOME 2.10.x... :)

Please take a look at /etc/X11/xorg.conf section "Device" and post it here.
i810 is the driver your card should be using.
There's also Intel's driver but you will have to compile it yourself. Help...

I've never tried that but I think it's possible to symlink /var/cache/apt/archives to another location.
Correct me if wrong.
Diving in... :)
What is the "similar thread" plugin and where to install it? On these forums? Just curious...
Partially. nvidia-kernel-common is still at 6629 version so my xserver refuses to start. (sure, downloading the package from Debian makes things running) ;)
Perhaps they could hire mighty Icculus to port it. ;)
Do you have intltool package installed?
sudo apt-get install intltool
New nvidia driver?
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html
I think it's up to date. Am I missing something?
[~] > dpkg -l nvidia-glx
ii nvidia-glx 1.0.6629-0ubuntu21 ...
Thanks for the corrections. :)
First you need to edit the settings in gnome-terminal. Run it -> right click -> edit current profile -> second tab (sorry I don't have it in English here :)) -> command -> and select "let terminal...
apt-get --purge remove ipmasq
is stronger because it also removes configuration files (backup if needed) which could be potentionally used to reveal your router setup.
I don't have...
Ipchains does not support forwarding ports, use ipmasqadm and portfw.
I recommend you to upgrade your machine to use iptables instead.
