That kernel parameter didn't change anything. I also tried many different mainline kernels including 3.3 from Precise and a nightly from the intel-experimental branch.
Excuse my ignorance, but is it more effective to do anything other than send the report from within Ubuntu's Launchpad (or whatever it is) dialog? Thanks for trying to help me with this. I really...
This was a fresh install and therefore has no previous kernels in that list.

To install a previous kernel, I believe I'd have to compile one since ubuntu's repos don't have older kenels available. Am I mistaken?
This guide didn't seem to change my results. What's odd is that usually when this computer suspends on other operating systems, there is a lot of disk activity for a couple seconds before suspending....
Just a reminder that it doesn't seem to enter sleep. The light on my computer doesn't go to a blink like it does when it suspends. I'm not seeing magic number or hash matches in this file.

I am running an intel DH67BL motherboard with the integrated graphics and my computer won't suspend. It turns off the monitors, but the computer stays powered. I don't have a problem in Debian Wheezy...
I've always used Handbrake for transcoding videos for use with my Logitech Revue, but I recently heard about Arista (via Linux Outlaws). Since I'm always looking for better video quality, I thought...
I do now, but I was able to see the wireless networks available before I installed the driver.

Strange. Well, I did do a clean install as opposed to an upgrade. I'm running bcm4313 on a Lenovo s10-3
I was able to see available wireless connections, but couldn't connect to any of them. I tried to set my IP manually and that worked. I'm not sure if it's the same issue you're having, but it's...
I'm running into a wall with the Iriscan Express 2 on 10.04 with the Sane backend 1.0.22git. No scanning software will recognize it.
The keyboard shortcuts are nice, but sometimes I need to click instead. Is there no way to fix this in Chromium?
Two posts up shows a workaround. This nautilus bug is fixed in Jaunty.
Try installing driconf with apt and enabling S3TC Texture Compression under the image quality tab.
Anybody get Adobe Air running in AMD64 Ubuntu? I was messing around with
intrepid and noticed it worked like a charm, but in hardy, I get an elf
class error on libnss3.so. Curious if anyone knows...
It will update through the update-manager along with any other system or security updates.
Open a Nautilus window and click Edit > Preferences. You'll see a media tab in those preferences.
Try navigating to the folder you need permissions for. The command you are typing simply opens the file manager (nautilus) with all permissions you will need.
Do you not see a window pop up with files and folders showing? That's our focus.
When you open a terminal and type "gksudo nautilus" then navigate to the windows drive, do you have permissions that way?
For those who like the keyhole...
