    Are you going to use an existing engine or are you planning to create your own? Most First Person Shooters are coded in C/C++ for speed.

    Well, there are different libraries (opengl, openal)

    Engines: Cube2, idtech 1,2,3 spring

    /Programming /Scipting /Whatever C C++ Python Lua etc.

    Graphics: GIMP Blender etc.

    Not quite sure...

    Well, change to the folder you have it in.

    Examble:
    (cd /home/name/alienarena-7.33)

    Then run the program ./crx

    It should then display any error codes, etc

    I mostly use Linux, however I did try the windows 7 RC. It wasn't all that bad. The only reason I would ever buy Windows would be to play games or do dev work.

    Warzone 2100 is fun, its from 1999 or so though (more coding has been done, but its still a 1999 game)

    Bos Wars has even worse graphics than wz2100
