Hi All,
I'm having trouble installing Anope with UnrealIRCD. Both are on localhost, and I can get UnrealIRCD running and installed. I've got Anope set up properly as far as I can tell, but I can't...
Why wouldn't they just forward it to the official Ubuntu site? Whois information is rarely verified, someone could've put Canonical's whois information in when they bought it.
No it's not, the copyright info hasn't been updated since 2010. Don't risk it, use ubuntu.com.
No, it's not. The copyright signature hasn't been updated since 2010.
I think Ubuntu has even greater potential for music makers. For the last number of years, Mac OS X has been the industry standard platform for music making - but now it seems that Apple are making OS...
History works as well, this is great. The problem was that I was using sh instead of bash. I used chsh to change my default shell. It works now :) Thanks for your help everyone! I'll mark this thread...
ooh, changing to bash got the up arrow working. How do I set it to use bash by default instead of sh?
Do you have 10mbps ethernet?
indeed let it be known that I am in fact not a thread killer.
check your network settings at /etc/networking/interfaces. I had a similar problem a few days ago, and this helped. Try setting a static IP.
I wasn't aware one could mount an iOS 5 device on Ubuntu. I'll have to have a go.
I'm pretty sure you can open them in your browser?
Doug S: I wasn't aware of that actually, I'll take that into account. I presumed that was involved in how the 'up' arrow key function worked.
CharlesA: the
history command doesn't work. The...

What's the goal of the distro?
sounds similar to what I'm going to start doing as soon as I've got ubuntu installed :P Good luck :)
do you reckon it has anything to do with the fact that when I press the up key it types ^[[A instead of displaying my previous command? this works when I'm acting as root, or as any other user on the...
Hey abcuser.
I do understand the difference between anonymity and privacy, but the result of tor and encryption is the same. Using tor, nobody who is snooping will know what I'm doing because any...
also, ~/.bash_rc isn't there because I had just deleted it before I ran that command, I was about to write it again

Thanks everyone :)
I've got it running, and it's all working well. It struggles a bit with IRC and SSH at the same time, but most of the time it's pretty good.
Hi All,
I have a server running with various services. When I log in over ssh, ~/.bash_rc doesn't execute. Additionally, ~/.bash_history doesn't register any of my commands. I remember that when...
I've been looking for something like this for ages and I just got it working. It's the best (simplest and most comprehendible) bot script I've seen in ages, and in my 'native' language, python :D...
What's the point though? Why do you need https? http works perfectly fine for me, I don't really need my communication on this forum encrypted for any reason. And if I did, I'd use tor.
