Only issues I see on 12.10 are that the battery status does...
Has anyone tried Ubuntu 12.10 on this laptop? Is suspend working? Are heating problems gone? How is battery life?
I'm thinking of getting this notebook, can you tell me if suspend on lid close works in 12.04 beta?
I am also interested in battery life

Bluetooth works fine for me on Lucid. Actually it works better than any previous release.
Thank you for your reply, but I want to print my own stickers, I just need the image, so I was hoping that someone has the image with the new artwork.
Hi,
I was just wondering, is there an Ubuntu laptop sticker with the new orange-white Ubuntu logo and new Ubuntu font?
I looked around but couldn't find it.
Old style sticker is in the attachment
The version running on that Acer computer has global menu in the top panel.

Bump. Anyone?
That is one of the most reported issues with Screenlets, but unfortunately the project is abandoned and no longer developed so I doubt that it will be fixed. I don't know if there is any other way to...
AFAIK it's a long standing issue in Gnome or more precisely in Nautilus file manager. I don't know why they made it like that especially because in other folders the grid is correct.
You can see...
Unfortunately, the <Auto> option is not offered so I can't select it. :-(

I have this strange problem since I bought a new monitor it's a Philips 190CW Widescreen monitor with native resolution of 1440x900 px.
I dual-boot WinXP and Ubuntu 9.04 and I can set the picture in...
It works, I saw similar things like this before but this is interesting.
HTML 5 is supported by Firefox 3.5 and Chromium, I don't know about other browsers but it will definitely work on Linux (there's even Google gears for linux, needed for the images drag'n'drop).
I'm...
I also couldn't find it so I just started terminal and typed "reboot" or "restart", can't remember now, but it worked.
Strange that there is no way to log out, suspend or shut down :D
I'm trying it out right now, it looks slick and has nice integration with web services, just as netbooks should have.
I don't use twitter or lastfm so a lot of the included features are not that...
For me JavaScript performance is noticeably slower than in FF on windows.
Good example would be www.chromeexperiments.com which is laggy on linux but not on windows.
I installed drivers from this repo, enabled uxa acceleration, removed compiz blacklist and now everything works on my integrated intel x3100 (GM965), no freezing or anything :)
