  2. [ubuntu] Re: Lexmark Printer Driver - exmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb

    Description: tag is a multiline text field. If you want to put some garbage on that line you're entirely welcome to it.
  3. [ubuntu] Re: Lexmark Printer Driver - exmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb

    Ok. Here we go.

    You can follow instructions in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1571119&page=2 on how to extract the package from the shell archive available for download. Once that's...

    Re: Array as an argument

    First off use <code> tags

    Second. Why not declare function as

    int printarray(int *array, int n)
  6. [ubuntu] Re: Lexmark Printer Driver - exmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb

    On 12.04 this won't help directly. The issue is not package extraction but the field generation for the package. Once the package is extracted
    dpkg will complain because Description value in the...
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Lexmark Printer Driver - exmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb

    The issue is actually with Packaging rather then the driver itself. From 11.10 to 12.04 dpkg requirement for Description field has changed not to allow blank lines which is what the problem is. :(
  8. Re: Professional development opportunities/advice?

    What are you planning to do? Run Cables? Install Switches? Support Switches and Routers? Develop Communication layer for applications? Develop Client-Server applications?
  9. Re: Professional development opportunities/advice?

    If you are planning on supporting it it then yes. If not then Stevens' books will do as a starting point.

    Re: converting int to char in Qt C++

    Have you looked at QString documentation for functions
    setNum or simply do:

    QString::number(counter).toStdString().c_str()

    Which will do everything you need for you.

    Re: Qt SLOT problem

    Could you post the class declaration? And if you want to call it as a function you just call it as a function the SLOT() modifier is used with
    connect(); function.

    Re: How do you guys do it?
