I'd like to know this too as I am thinking of getting Espon perfection V700 or V750 myself too.
EDIT: Could you test this if is the solution: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=822003
Damn... All good has to come to an end I suppose... I just hope someone knowing enough will come and take over... Just want my MX Revo to work as good as now at the future...
Revoco talks about MX _Revolution_ mouse, so that part won't affect you anyways...
I have similar problem like this http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=3568716&postcount=444 with 64-bit Ubuntu 8.04...
Otherwise btnx is working as should, but "restart btnx" buttons gives this...

You could delete CD-ROM from Synaptics, so it wouldn't try to use CD-ROM anymore as repository holder.
Building some IBM Thinkpad related kernel modules failed... Or not the building itself, but they didn't work until correct GCC was used.
Yes, well, VMWare isn't only thing suffering from same issue... I know I can hunt correct GCC manually, but all peoples can't :)
Hmm shouldn't you include updating of GCC also so it would match the version kernel was compiled with? Without that half of stuff goes wrong (vmware modules for example).
As the vmware config says
it starts already on it's own... you can use /etc/init.d/btnx start|stop|restart to start or stop it if you want
Did you try "sudo grep ...."?

First I like to thank you for this marvelous program! Then to the problem...
ADD: Running Ubuntu 7.10 amd64...
I have problems with my MX Revolution thumb buttons, and I also...
Mm well, crap happends for all of us sometimes :)
1.0.0 is exact same version than latest in CVS, and also if you read the release notes you'll see this:
You can look forward to many more things to
come in the near future including i18n support,...
Yeps... Seeing same here... also same with some times with file searches including those letters...
Running 2.6.22-9 with my AMD 4200+ 64-bit and dual Pentium 3 server, both seems to run fine at first glance and lets hope it stays that way :)
Okay update: After total hard disk formatting and leaving nothing behind, now the LinuxDC++ compiles and installs just fine and works on Feisty amd64 :)
I am sure, have cleared my settings and rehashed again before doing anythign else... Problem persists. HAshing eats CPU ofcourse, but no memoryeat there and works snappy etc... but as soon as I even...
PLease check your CPU and memoryusage too, I am having also those side-effects on my problem...
Current version doesn't seem to work too well... I need just to connect to some hub and LinuxDC++ starts to eat up memory and CPU... I closed it at 500megabytes, which took only like minute to get...
