[gnome] Re: Disable thumbnail caching in nautilus

Try using gconf-editor to adjust this setting, I think default is 180 days, maybe setting it to 0 will work.

Or have a look a this thread for clean-up tools

  3. [ubuntu] Re: Brasero stuck at "creating image checksum"

If I understand correctly you have already verified the md5, so the iso is unchanged and now you just want to burn that iso to cd/dvd and then Brasero hangs-up on you. I think switching-off the md5...

    [SOLVED] Clean-up question

I noticed some build-up of unwanted items:

  9. [ubuntu] Re: I don't know where my deleted files go

  10. Re: 10.04 beta 1 wireless and other questions

I noticed that even with wlan disabled in bios the led is still always on in linux. Hope the bug is fixed before the final release of 10.04.
  11. [ubuntu] Re: What is the better update command between this two?

I use aptitude because like Wardje said, aptitude handles dependencies better. But note that the graphical interface update manager still uses apt-get. When you update using aptitude and then check...

  15. Re: 10.04 beta 1 wireless and other questions

I noticed that bug, it is not exactly the same, but close enough. However, this was reported a month ago and has not been assigned, so I do not know if someone is paying attention to it.
  16. Re: 10.04 beta 1 wireless and other questions

    You presume correctly.
  17. Re: 10.04 beta 1 wireless and other questions

For the first point I tried installing driver from compat wireless and tried blacklisting ath9k, but this didn't have the desired result.

    Anyone?
