Debian is in version 1.0.5 http://packages.debian.org/unstable/main/gecko-mediaplayer
just extract it and copy in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
this is not an answer but I dont understand what is the benefit to use such program when VLC exists :=)

in this case recovery mode with root and internet connection, if root no need of sudo
if it do not boot it could be also X problem
