i would suggest going to the package manger and searching for adobe flash, i believe the file you want is adobe-flashplugin

i dont know what the makefile extension is but in my experience it literally just says "MAKE" as the title of the file. hope that helps a little

in The mythtv control center there is a check box you can check that tells it to start up on boot. Perhaps if you uncheck that and apply or restart and then check it again it will work?
