Because new users are not use to actually having to do manual work on their computer and expect an easy download, etc. And most people are so use to Microsoft and the Windows OS that they can't...
As a kid I wanted to be an architect because my parents told me that's what I should do. Now that I'm in college I'm on my way to getting a degree in psychology.
