    I don't know what most of it means, but a few words in there make me think it is your ISP. try canceling your torrents and opening the program, see if that still freezes it.

    You're screwed, at least for a while. The firmware on the latest ipods is made to only work with real versions of iTunes. I havent heard anything about it being cracked to work with linux yet.
