Re: One new game on Ubuntu, what would it be?

Let's be honest here. All you need is the Source Engine to run perfectly on Linux and your pretty much set as far as games go.

    [ubuntu] Warsow Repo package outdated

Is it just me or is the version of Warsow available in the repos out of date? Someone needs to fix that if it is the case, nobody plays version 0.32 now 0.42 is out.

    Re: What is "Steam" ?

Yeah on WINE the Friends support is pretty tempremental, but on Windows it works fine. If they release Steam for Linux it'll be a godsend. Shame they are working on Valve time.

Re: Which Gaming Console XBOX 360 VS PS3?

You've got a PC. Play games on that.

But I would choose a 360 if you had to pick one console at gunpoint. It's cheaper, online is better and it has a better selection of games.

[ubuntu] Re: NVidia GeForce 9600 Display Drivers

And how might one do that? I'll have to look it up. I'm guessing the terminal should read out what the issue is.

  20. [ubuntu] Re: How do I install display drivers in Ubuntu?

I tried that and everytime it prompts me for the password I can't seem to type anything in. Is that normal?

    Edit: Don't worry. Got it.
  21. [ubuntu] Re: How do I install display drivers in Ubuntu?

It comes back with "No propriety drivers in use on this system". Does that mean I need to go look for some?

    Re: What is "Steam" ?

Well seeing as you need it to play some of the best games ever designed I'd have thought that was pretty damn useful.

Also works as a messenger programme, but that's about all.
