I took my Starling to the local diner. It is located beside a Panera Bread Company which has wi-fi. I often connect to the Panera wi-fi while I have breakfast at their competition. :)...

It just happened that I have an Ativa wireless usb plugged into a desktop machine. I tried it on the Starling and it worked. In fact, the Starling reported that it was the same Belkin model you used....

Signal strength is excellent. It shows in the menu. Also I have my Mac G4 sitting beside it and it connects with no problem. My iPod Touch also hooks up without a problem.
