Excuse my noobishness, but it appears that the DEB replace those two files and changed the permission level to 777. I would be curious to see the contents of the two files to see what they are...
I have the same wireless card as you. Check out this procedure. You need to use the B43 drivers first and let it not work... then follow this procedure and enjoy your wireless. I hope this helps....
