Whether it's Windows, Linux or Mac OS. I just use and recommend others to use whatever OS suits your needs.
As above, cd to the correct directory first.
1.
mv *.flac /home/yourname/yourfolder
2.
Holy crap, even after 10 years Unix usage, I've never seen a command look like that. Well done. :-)
What is wrong with good old
~ $ ls
You might also find the tree command useful.
~ $ sudo apt-get install tree
~ $ tree
Zorin OS and SolusOS are both good alternatives for new users if you feel Ubuntu is not right for them.
And remember to use
unrar e and not
unrar x
I think in general the changes are for the better, even though I may not roll with all the changes myself. I don't use Unity and I don't use GNOME Shell. I use IceWM+Terminator. And for me, that's...
I don't think it's getting harder. It's just changing at a rapid pace which makes it harder to keep up. Probably more for the older folk.
Ubuntu as a whole is not the problem, just the desktop environment it chooses. Once a different environment is installed, it's great!
Ubuntu can seem bloated straight out of the box, yes. You can generally speed up the computer by removing anything you find you're not using or not going to use and also install and use a different...
Is there any reason that you can't install the software from the repositories?
I haven't personally done this, but try it and post back your results.

If you bridge the networks, would that do it?
I look in the mirror some days and have no idea what the heck I am looking at!
genisoimage+wodim. Works each and every time without fail. ;-)
Another thing to keep in mind, Brasero and K3B are simply graphical front-ends and both use the same wodim backend. So the resulting burn should be no different.
Read and learn my friend. http://tinyurl.com/7j6f4jx
My answer to your problem? You either have terrible quality equipment or faulty equipment that is incompatible with your selected media.
For starters, to accept any help from anyone you have to accept that a MP3 disc is a Data disc. Nothing fancy my friend.
Why yours are not working in your equipment, I have no idea. It works for...
What you've been told is correct. An MP3 disc is just a Data disc at the end of the day, no matter what software you use. And that's all Ashampoo is also doing.
No problem. I've used it on several occasions whilst on holidays.
Good for you mate. A blog is a blog. I don't know what you want us to say about it though.
It has nothing to do with Thunderbird, but you could try something like http://mail2web.com/
I think I probably bog my system down too much of the time. I run 2 Linux systems via VirtualBox on top of my regular system which also usually has my Email client and Web browser open all the time....
It'll just be a bog standard distro with a cool looking anonymous hacking theme. Nothing new here folks. Move along now.
