i got it fixed ,it turns out that my audigy 2 sound card does get recognized,sooo,i put in a different creative labs card,ct4810,and now it has awesome sound ,i can rock my playlist,woot,woot

it runs like a charm in recovery mode ,graphics are great and speed is great too ,it's when i try to boot in normal mode that i get the blank screen

i finally got the other computer to boot from the USB ,now the problem is that the monitor goes black and says ,no signal ,and it shuts off

@oldfred,i tried all the choices avialible the only one that pretends to work is USBFDD,and i only get acursor running at the bottom of the black screen

i did make my USB bootable using penguin

i wnat to do a clean instal on my computer ,i go to the Cmos boot tab ,and the choices i have are:

zip
atapi mo
usb fdd
usb zip
which one do i use to boot in ,so i can install ubuntu...

i'm such a blooming MORON ,i was tring to install from the USB ,when i decided to use the wubi.exe ,and the installation went through like a fart in a high wind ,and and ,i have nooooooo issues...

that's another problem it can't find my wireless connection either ,it does boot up from the USB and goes through the prcess of installing until it hits "can't find grub-install/dev/sda
