    Am I the only one that thinks that Windows 8's Metro interface is basically the OLPC Sugar interface? Surely, I can't believe no one else has made this observation.

    unscrewed. Booted from live cd, went to ubuntu package search and downloaded network-manager and network-manager-gnome to disk. rebooted and installed from gdebi. phew.
