    No video in Linux

I just installed Mint KDE edition and when I use my graphics card (AMD Radeon 7770), I get to the post screen and then the GRUB menu. I select "Mint" and then that's when the problem starts. There is...

[xubuntu] Re: Two problems (Unity and Sound)

This fails also. I click on "PA volume control" and nothing happens. It definitely is installed and running as a daemon though.

[xubuntu] Re: Two problems (Unity and Sound)

I know it does seem stupid, but both 12.04 and 12.10 refused to work at all. Hence why I had to go with Xubuntu

    [ubuntu] Re: Corrupt Ubuntu

Did you verify the disc before install?

It really doesn't matter anyway, I'd guess around 99.99% of ISOs are completely fine. About the white dots, it could be related to a number of other things.

[ubuntu] Re: Do I need a Harddisk?

I would say you do as the live CD, not depending on hardware, is always a good few times slower than booting from a hard disk.

However, if you have an old PC it may be an even better idea to get...

I'm at school and stuck on a project, using TRUE basic. We have to get the user to type in a key, then take the key and find the ASCII code, and then print both. I've got the input for the key but...

    Thank you.
  17. [ubuntu] Trying to install KDE on Ubuntu Server 12.04

I am positive there has to be a way to do this: install KDE on 12.04 without it "becoming" Kubuntu by default. Is there a way I could have core KDE on top of the server?

Thanks for the replies! Does any body know the command line for downloading gphpedit? I cannot find it on the internet.

Please bear in mind that I use Kubuntu, not Ubuntu. Thanks.
