This issue is resolved.

I recreated the VM under ubuntu and added the Virtual hard drive to fix.

Yesterday i installed VMware workstation 6 on the Ubuntu partition of my brand new 15" (good mornin') macbook pro. I then downloaded the EHC official...

If you have VMware tools installed on the client you can simply copy the files on the host and paste them in the client OS.

If you don't then just install VMware tools and see step one.

Easy.
