The debs are for 64 bits systems, you have installed a 32 bit one.
So two choices, either compile for 32 or reinstall the system for 64.

Same here on an Asus K53S...
Banned for making this thread to big...
Install these packages:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~raof/+archive/aubergine
Check with Synaptic if only one flash plugin is installed...
Also, try it with Chrome.
This way we can pinpoint some issues...
More than you think actually :D
I don't know why I memorized Google's DNS as 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4, instead of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Glad this thread sorted it out for me :D
give us the output of this:
route -n
cat /etc/resolv.conf
You can optionally try this, might just work:
echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" > /etc/resolv.conf

Ok, sorry, my explanation was not so good :)
Let's see if I can explain it now.
In my configuration of prelude I set it to run on 127.0.0.1:5553, thus meaning that I defined the port to use.
...
Sorry for double posting, but...
Guys, here is the fix:
sudo prelude-admin register "prelude-lml" "idmef:w" 127.0.0.1 --uid 0 --gid 0

I used the localhost as the manager address. This should be added to post-install script.

Thank you for sharing the answer... :/
I'm really tempted to get my hands back on this project if there are interested users...
Feedback?
Best regards!
Hi there!
There is already a deb at their webpage, i dont think you need to work on that.
I've tested it and it works like a charm!
Lol, congratulations, loved your remarks =) (honestly!)
I still think you missed the point. He may had some interfaces down, I just wanted to list the interfaces (get the names) on the machine, so...
There are also some glitches with bind9. You have to check if the files are were they should be (and permissions).
Two things:
1 - Try removing and the install the package
2 - Download the package and force an install
lol, ok then
Just one advice, understand how tc works before doing some confs.
It may save you a lot of time =)
Also, check this out, since you are into learning new stuff:
...
If you can access and unencripted network try connecting through the terminal:
sudo iwconfig <interface> essid <SSID>
sudo dhclient <interface>
And see what happens.
And on dmesg as well,...
Well, we can try to put the system back on tracks but if you can reinstall the system, IMHO, i would do it...
Nop.
In fact ifconfig may not show you all your devices.
ifdown eth0 and ifoconfig wont show it.
iwconfig lists *all* the devices.
It would have faster for you to check on your console...
Dont worry, we all try to hack the system, no matter how good it is :D
Now, do you still have the interface listed in iwconfig?
Best regards!
Have you tried upgrading to 8.10?
Best regards!
Do you have a cable connection (network cable, with a router and such), you can easily get a connection with this:
sudo dhclient eth0
were you have to replace (or not =D ) eth0 with your device...
Hi there!
