    There was a link to the network folder in Home - how I do not know. Removing it solved the problem .... thanks for all your help ... and I understand more too.

    Hi,

    Yes - under a new User Account everything is fine - I can mount "DATABASE (F)". (I have not tried mounting in /mnt as nothing would).
