Re: How-To: install pSX on AMD64

I tried uninstalling everything (as per this thread) and reinstalling again with the .deb for intrepid amd64. I've already removed pulseaudio.

    ~$ cd /usr/local/games/psx32/...

Re: How-To: install pSX on AMD64

I got pSX32 working nearly perfectly on Jaunty simply by installing from the .deb's posted for intrepid in this thread, apart from a good deal of flickering making it almost unplayable. Vsync didn't...

[ubuntu] Re: VLC & Totem run poorly in jaunty

My problems were fixed for a while but now I've got sound cutting in and out with VLC, video getting behind the sound and having to race to catch up in totem and flash video, and to top it all off,...

[ubuntu] Re: ps/2 and USB mouse troubles in jaunty

Envyng didn't work. I don't have the right kernel headers, apparently, and I can't figure out how to install them without use of a mouse. I tried:

    sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`...

[ubuntu] Re: ps/2 and USB mouse troubles in jaunty

I tried using the same fix on my secondary harddrive in CLI using nano, but it didn't work. The mouse won't work in either USB or PS/2 on that drive. I'm also still stuck in low-graphics mode on...

[ubuntu] Re: ps/2 and USB mouse troubles in jaunty

Hmm, didn't seem to work on the live disks either, but I vaguely recall having to use USB when I first installed Intrepid and then magically finding it to work in ps/2 after a few updates.

[ubuntu] Re: ps/2 and USB mouse troubles in jaunty

Tell me about it! I certainly can't explain it, but that's the only change I remember making between bootups.

It's a Logitech Mx Laser. I can't seem to find my old live cd, but I'll make one...

[ubuntu] Re: ps/2 and USB mouse troubles in jaunty

I should also say that my keyboard is ps/2 and works fine, and that the usb-ps/2 adapter is the one that came with the mouse (logitech mx laser).

I've looked at many threads, and none seem to have...

[ubuntu] ps/2 and USB mouse troubles in jaunty

I have two separate internal boot drives with Jaunty installed on both of them. My main drive is a sata drive, and my secondary is an IDE drive. My mouse is a USB mouse with a ps/2 adapter. Ever...

My problem was that Jaunty wasn't on my menu.lst, so I added it and installed the drivers with envyng.

[gnome] Re: Problem with PS/2 Mouse

It is a multi-button laser mouse. It's a USB mouse by default but has always worked fine with a ps/2 adapter until a partial upgrade was performed in jaunty.

I can't get it to do what it was...
  15. [ubuntu] Re: Help! Major Problems with Partial Upgrade in Jaunty!

I mostly sorted it out with

    then typed in

    modprobe -r psmouse
    modprobe psmouse proto=imps
    before the exit 0 line.

However, this did not work on my backup...

[gnome] Re: Problem with PS/2 Mouse

After upgrading from jaunty 11 to 12, I lost the use of my mouse in ps/2 but not in usb on my main drive. Going from Intrepid to Jaunty on my backup drive, I lost ps/2 but had usb until a reboot. ...
  18. [ubuntu] Re: Help! Major Problems with Partial Upgrade in Jaunty!

No, that's definitely not an option at the moment. At the very least, I just need my ps/2 mouse port working, preferrably using the console to do so (the easiest way I'd be able to do it, booting...
  19. [ubuntu] Re: Help! Major Problems with Partial Upgrade in Jaunty!

  20. [ubuntu] Re: Help! Major Problems with Partial Upgrade in Jaunty!

  21. [ubuntu] Re: Help! Major Problems with Partial Upgrade in Jaunty!

  22. [ubuntu] Help! Major Problems with Partial Upgrade in Jaunty!

  23. [ubuntu] Re: Jaunty fast then slow out of sync video with stuttering sound

[ubuntu] Re: Problems with Nvidia Drivers in Jaunty

Hey, thanks for that! I guess Jaunty's a bit more picky than Intrepid, or something was going on that I wasn't aware of. Now I can focus on fixing my VLC problem.

[ubuntu] Re: Problems with Nvidia Drivers in Jaunty
