First surround sound didn't work but i got fixed by typing this " doom3 +set s_alsa_pcm surround51" and "doom3 +set s_numberOfSpeakers 6"

I have audigy 2 zs i have no problem in gnome, surround sound works in xine but i haven't got it to work with mplayer and gstreamer totem

i can say one thing doom 3 works much much better under...

Ok i fixed the problem by typing this

doom3 +set s_alsa_pcm surround51

But the wierdest thing that my center is the surround channel and my surround channel is the center i have to switch...

Anyone knows what the problem is?

I know that surround sound is working in xine when i'm playing movies.

I edited nwn too look like this and i copied it too usr/local/bin

I think it already works when you push the + and - button on the mouse pointer goes faster or slower

Hoary-extras at mirrormax still works they did showdown hoary-backports at mirrormax though if i'm not wrong.

sudo apt-get update doesn't give me any error.
