    The optical drive is LG.
    Samsung and maxtor are the hard drives.
    Sp what does that all means?

    Hello,

    so here's the problem. When I installed Ubuntu a month ago i had my optical drive disconnected (can't remember why i had disconnected it), and installed ubuntu through a pen drive....

    Problem solved.
    Just installed the windows version of lastfm through wine and it scrobbles perfectly.

    I installed the audioscrobbler plugin through Wine.
    Now how do i get it to scrobble to lastfm?
    Suggestions are needed, an are surely appreciated :D

    Finally i got it working :D
    I'm not sure if this is the correct way, but it's working.
    To open foobar i have to click on the foobar2000.exe and tell it to open with Wine Windows Program Loader,...

    Yes i did. I also ran "gksudo gedit /usr/share/applications/foobar2000.desktop".
    I just didn't do anything for the components. I stopped there.
    But it shoul still work, shouldn't it?

    You're absolutely right, it does play them.
    There's only one problem, it plays an album as if it was one song only.
    I'll keep trying to get foobar working.

    I store the music files in a .rar mostly for filesharing, still an emule user :)
    I'd say that 98% of the music is in mp3, and the rest in .mpc and some other formats.
    I already tried to run foobar...
