    does the file
    /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoufr2cpca exist?
    if yes, does it have the right permissions? (same as in /usr/lib64, check with ls -l)

    can you post the contents of the cndrvcups-ufr2-us_2.20-2_amd64.deb file (dpkg -L cndrvcups-ufr2-us_2.20-2_amd64.deb) ? Then you can see where the files are located...

    I hope the following is correct. The files in /usr/lib64 were:

    libcnpkufr2.a
    libcnpkufr2.la
    cups/backend/cnusb
    cups/filter/pstoufr2cpca

    Just copy them over to /usr/lib keeping the directory...

    Had the same problem:

    I have a network printer that requires the ufr2 driver. I installed the 64bit deb file generate by alien from the rpm. Successfully added the printer both in ubuntu dialog...
