Oh I understand, trust me poofyhairguy I thought it was just me until I saw the bug on bugs.gnome.org ///. Delete the top panel and you're still stuck anyways, because of the theme.
BTW this is a...
YEs I agree with you 2. The update-manager interface paradigm is fit to be extended this way.
So who will make the bug to bugs.ubuntulinux.org ? :)
I have a question, how to get the menu to be tahoma? It stays bitstream even when I changed all hte fonts in the Fonts panel to tahoma.
EDIT: OK i =figured it out, I installed that...
It is sooooo ugly that I changed the desktop background to a single colour. I think it's funny that the best background Ubuntu had was hte blue one from the prerelease Warty :)
Very nice, thx
Well isn't this thread serendipitous :) I just found out I can play Neverwinter nights on linux. NWN, prepare to be dusted off your shelf :D
How do we install the misc. fonts like tahoma?
Protocol MUST be ExplorerPS/2
"Option" "Buttons" "a"
a should equal the number of buttons you have, excluding the scroll wheel, then add to 2. (so 5 buttons would be inserered as 7)

It's a bit too white for me but I like it. Even if it doens't work correctly in Opera ;)
It's amazing, and it integrates well with other Windows networks, such as printing. It is much better now with autopackage, since repositories were their weakness.
Spatial is yucky anyways 8) What do the changes look like?
Cool! This even kind of wokrs with Opera.
how about mac users?
I like it a lot, i just installed abiword 2.2.5 with it. It's a bit nicer than the 2.2 I got with hoary.

apt-get -f install is what apt told me to do, and we'll see...
Should I do apt-get remove --purge or just apt-get remove?
Ubuntu-geek, I will try that in case of failure, as it looks more involved. Thank you both for responding!
I think the forums might be too diffused now. I posted a desparate cry for help in repository support, but no replies... :( I know organization is a necessity, so I think merging the forums would be...

Ubuntu is a good newbie distro because of the freedesktop.org stuff, project utopia, etc.
I actually learned to like Kennedy in the last episode too. She even admitted she was a brat ;)
Poor anya! My favourite shot in the whole episode was her .(spoiler)and Andrew......"Bunnies! Floppy, hoppy, bunnies!"
She needs to return in some (any!) shape or form if there's ever a movie...
