I've installed a new tablet on Ubuntu 10.04, the model is Genius Pensketch 9x12.

A mi me funcionan perfecto tanto el mouse como la tableta en Gimp. Lo que hice fue seleccionar en preferencias > dispositivos la opción mode:screen para la tableta y el mouse.

I never tried the method of this thread in Ubuntu 9.10.

I used the deb package with the same tablet in Ubuntu 32 and works great, if you are using amd64 please try to compile the sources.

Probé todo lo que pude en Ubuntu 9.10 e incluso otras distros como OpenSUSE 11.2 y en todas tengo el mismo inconveniente. Finalmente no me quedó otra alternativa que volver a Jaunty.
