    of course if you have to pay for it its crap, but for me (student) its free... and its definetely more stable. and of course they share the same background.

    a better OpenOffice is StarOffice, much more stable and better integration to MS Office...

    I just use Ubuntus build-in email-notification... its simple and displays all necessary details of incoming mails in the tray...

    have you changed the default color depth in the xorg.conf from 16 to 24 bits?

    and why do you run quake4-smp? isnt the executable named quake4?
