    I have found using google chrome, set the proxy to 8080 that many web pages simply don't load. That is kind of annoying. I refresh, and it still doesn't load? Any ideas? I'm on 10.10.

    I'm not sure if this will help you out, but try this:

    sudo poweroff and see if that works. I don't remember some of the other stuff I tried, but it was a pain. Hope that will help!
