    I was able to resolve this by doing a fresh install. My first install was all messed up and installing the latest bios fixed that but it had detected my hardware wrong so installing again fixed it.

    I have an ASUS u43F and I am running Ubuntu 11.10 x64. I can't seam to get Unity3D to work when I login I just get nautilus and nothing else. Unity 2D works just fine.

    HDD manufactures and the OS display 1GB differently the HDD manufactures display 1GB as 1000MB and the OS displays it as 1024MB so the space is all there just displayed differently.
