IPblock is a front-end for iplist which runs as a daemon process if autostart is enabled.
Have you enabled the FORWARD chain in the ipblock.conf ? If that doesn't help installing iplist in the router kvm might work, although packets should traverse iptables before they reach kvms.
Which KVM network configuration do you use ?
The first thing I would get rid of in Ubuntu is GTK+. Then you'll end up with Qt and KDE4 as it ought to be.
The latest version of IPblock shows the number of IPs. Previous versions showed the number of IP ranges, but IPblock merges overlapping ranges which can reduce the number of ranges.
Added maverick support. There's also a new version 0.29 with minor changes (maverick & lucid only).
For some reason the server returns lists differently. I use the following php redirects in http://iplist.sf.net/lists/level1.gz.php:
<?php
header('Location:...
The signal information is normal and indicates the communication with the daemon process.
Since the moon landings NASA has learned that black and white photos are easier to fake.;)
Yes, given the fact that it has been enabled (by autostart or manually).
I hope BP will pay for cleaning up the linux kernel server. It's full of tar balls. Check it out.
The file ipblock.desktop should be located in /usr/share/applications/. Which distro version and desktop environment are you using ?
Updating the following lists should work now
ads-trackers-and-bad-pr0n.gz
bogon.gz
edu.gz
level1.gz
spyware.gz
If you get the message "iplist[2750]: error: can't find...
The configuration looks ok. Normally temporary IPs are removed when the GUI exits. If that's not the case, there should be some entries in the GUI logfile /tmp/ipblockUI.log.
How does your conf file look like ?
Someone should kill flash.
Even surfing known sites can couse harm if there are malicious flash ads embedded. But the exploits are probably not written for 64bit Linux.
It's required to stop iplist before removing it or just reboot.
Lucid has the latest fdisk which aligns the first partition at a 1M boundary. That should work for 4k disks and SSDs.
In 3 years we all will be living in google's cloud.
Vala is a bad choice. It was only created because object oriented programming in C with GObjects is a mess.
Use C++ instead.
Due to industry support and ISVs GNOME still has a predominant role. From a technical point of view GNOME is obsolete and version 3 a joke.
Remember that Qt was released under LGPL 15 month ago...
A proprietary bittorrent client is what linux really needs.;)
Apart from that the term "utorrent spying" returns 4,950,000 hits on Google.

That's factually accurate. You SHOULD check it out yourself.
Why isn't KDE in the main repository? Such an important software shouldn't be in the community section.
Canonical should consider switching to KDE as the default DE. It's hard to image that the...
