[ubuntu] Re: Dell Conexant HSF Modem with Intrepid Ibex?

I haven't had any luck with Jaunty either. I get the same string.h error. Here's my sudo hsfconfig log:

Re: Custom Resolution in Enemy Territory

I know this is a really old post, but I'm going to put the answer here anyways.

Based on directions for Quake III, I derived these commands.

For my widescreen laptop, I put these in the RT:CW...

    Re: PowerTop

PowerTop runs fine on my Gutsy server, but I can't get the changes that program makes to stick.

I run PowerTop and then after I reboot, I run PowerTop again and it goes through all the same steps....

  5. Re: HOW TO: Configure wireless cards with Broadcom chipsets

I gave up on Hoary and installed Breezy Colony 3. The instructions provided worked fine this time (and the video drivers work by default!).

  6. Re: HOW TO: Configure wireless cards with Broadcom chipsets

Wireless and Ubuntu just don't mix well right now. It's enough trouble to get a Intel 2200 to work, but these Dell 1350 cards are impossible.

I tried following both sets of directions. The...

    Re: HowTo: Ati FGLRX 8.14.13

Is this method better than converting the X.org rpm to a deb using alien and then building your own kernel modules?

Re: Tomboy 0.3.2 on Ubuntu Hoary

With some of the latest Backports updates, those dbus upgrades are not needed.

However, they got rid of the Tomboy icon... I liked that icon. Now it's a generic one that doesn't look good at...

Re: Tomboy 0.3.2 on Ubuntu Hoary

Tomboy 0.3.2 installed fine. But it doesn't run without dbus errors. It just keeps making more and more requests for upgrading the dbus packages. I'm not sure how stable this is really going to make...
