Just a note to let you know it *IS* working for me, thank you! I've got an XP SP2 instance I've been running under vmware server for a few small apps and this will make it much more fun to...
I'm having the same problem. My pocketpc shows in the devices list, but I have no ttyUSB devs.
Thanks for the step-by-step tutorial. I'd done this long ago with debian, but hadn't tried again with ubuntu.
I'm using Lightning and when I try to publish my calendar, I get "405 Method not...
Thank you very much for your work on putting together a simple guide. It's good too see others have already gone through this all.
I'm having trouble installing ivtv to work with a PVR 150MCE...
I finally made it through and have gtkpod running!
I could not find libgpod in any of my repositories. Instead, I got it from picpac's post in this thread.
I have to wait to actually try it...
I solved my compile issue by removing libavcodec-dev from my system. Now on to the next step. . .
I had this issue as well. It looks like the libxvidcore4-dev package is currently broken. You have to set apt to "pin" to the older version of libxvidcore4. I don't know how to do this using apt,...
I'm still have trouble compiling mpeg4ip. I must be missing some dependency:
Anyone have any idea what could be missing?
No need to apologize, I understand how hard this must have been to get together.
As a stickler, here's a couple of corrections:
sudo cp mpeg4ip_config.h mpeg4ip_version.h /usr/local/include...
I got synaptic to pin the older version of libxvidcore4, so I'm ok with that now.
But now I'm getting confused while compiling and installing mpeg4ip.
It looks to me like
cp...
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm having some trouble getting the dependencies installed.
sudo apt-get install libfaad2-dev libfaac-dev libxvidcore4-dev checkinstall fakeroot

Well, it's unwatchable with my AirNET (802.11b) tivo. Just not enough bandwidth to support the stream. Then again, I record everything in best quality-- that may have something to do with it.
Oh...
Much better. I can get the plist now :) I can't test it for real until I get home though.
Thanks. I'd tried to do this once before some time ago, but couldn't figure out where to put the vlc...
It looks to me like both of the files you linked unzip to make libty_plugin.so, just different revisions. Maybe there's a different link for one of the files?
I gave it a shot, but VLC doesn't seem to be connecting to my tivo's vserver. Tytools under wine does, but not VLC. vserver just sits there, waiting for a connection.
Thank you pjack, that worked.
Looks neat. Too bad it crashed my xserver :(
I can't get skippy-xd to compile. I've made sure I have all the dependencies that panickedthumb listed, but I get the following when I make:
gcc -I/usr/X11R6/include `pkg-config xft xrender...
So far, that hasn't worked for me. And I've yet to see any documentation for a mod that doesn't assume it is for Windows.
Where do I put mods for Doom3? I've got Doom3 installed in /usr/local/games/doom3, but no matter where I put the mod directory, it doesn't show up on the list in game. Documentation for the linux...
I know that. I'm saying that sshd DID work out of the box for me, I didn't have to make the change you spcified in your initial post. Then I moved my sshd to run on another port, but that's not...
I think something else is going on there. I do not have PasswordAuthentication turned on, but I am able to access my machine using Putty and WinSCP. But I am not running sshd on port 22.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, the shutdown dialog box is hidden when logging out while xcompmgr is running. Just wait a half a second, then press Enter on your keyboard to dismiss the dialog....
Actually, I got it to run using ./tibia , not ./tibiawish.
But I also found that the 7.4 windows client works under wine.
I've been using this for about a week and it looks beautiful. However, I've found that I cannot log out while xcompmgr is running (if I have it run as part of my session). I have to manually kill...
Sure would love this for amd64. I know nothing about building packages. Would this be a good place to start?
