    Exactly, or almost. I have no stand-alone DVD player, and I'm running 12.10, but otherwise my experience is identical.

    K9Copy creates ISOs, vlc can play individual video files from the (mounted)...

    Looks like 'make' doesn't like spaces in filenames (as in the case of your directory "ACER Fan Control". Remove those spaces!:)

    Same here. The workaround of starting it with the string


    /bin/sh -c "PULSE_SERVER=127.0.0.1 skype"

    doesn't work with this new version, and the manual workaround of setting the output volume...
