Apparently it's scheduled for tonight's upgrade. I've manually activated your account in the meantime.

Re: Discourse, a new type of Forum

That's a little funky. Try signing out and/or clearing cache.

Keep in mind this is a *test* -- we're playing around with things, seeing what will and won't work for the forums as they are now.
  6. Re: What would be the result of a "sudo rm -r /"?

Running it as-is will give you a notice saying you need "--no-preserve-root" (but don't try that anyway, typos are dangerous).

If your Windows partition (or any other) is mounted, it will be...

Did you ever get a response? Just curious, because sometimes execs will actually respond back.

    Re: bricked ubuntu 13

"bricked" means that your device is as useful as a brick. If it still boots, it is not a brick. :)

OP: Do you remember *what* things you removed from software center when this started happening?

Re: Laptop logs itself out automatically

It was likely a graphics driver/configuration issue. The display was probably crashing, causing you to be kicked back to the login screen.

Did you get any crash popups after it happened? Sometimes...

Re: Yikes! Forced to change from AT&T DSL to U-verse

250 GB was the bandwidth limit for AT&T here as well. I saw that, opened my TWC account statistics, and saw an average of 500 GB/mo (across three people). Yeaaah, no way am I switching.

    Oh, by...

Re: Yikes! Forced to change from AT&T DSL to U-verse

Agh, those 2-WIRE WiFi networks are everywhere around my house. I swear I'm the only person who has bothered to change the default network name.

AT&T keeps mailing trying to get me to switch from...

Re: Error on building nvidia module

Could you post /var/lib/dkms/nvidia-current-updates/304.64/build/make.log (or the end of it, if it's huge)? I haven't run into any problems.

[ubuntu] Re: A guest was logged on to my computer!

Is your clock set correctly? That looks like it's from November 25, and by its contents, looks like normal usage of the guest account from the login screen.

[ubuntu] Re: A guest was logged on to my computer!

Where did you see that the guest account was active? Was it in the menu on the top right? Or was it the only account signed in?

I've used GLM for my own GL projects; it does everything you have have missed from classic-GL (projection, gluLookAt, etc) and more.

    [ubuntu] Re: No Compiz Panic!!

The short answer is yes, but it depends on the utility you're looking at.

Most utilities will show you total load in units of cores, so 100% (or 1.00 load) means one core is fully utilized. On a...

Edited your thread title; please remember to use descriptive titles as "Raring Ringtail" isn't very helpful in the Raring Ringtail forum. ;)
