11.04 is almost dead as well, so why not just download 12.04 and install it? Upgrading is not really recommended anyway as it is usually a hit and miss deal.

Chrome has been working perfectly for me and is more up to date than Chromium, which has been stuck at version 18 for some time now.
The only problem I've had with Chrome is Flash 11.3, and it's...
It's actually: chrome://plugins/ to get to the plugins. Then detail at the right of the flash plugin line. Disable flash 11.3 and then enable 11.2. Works for me too.
If you're going to do a fresh installation in order to escape the upgrade risk, copying old config files from the previous installation could cause some of the issues upgrades usually case. It's best...
It's always stable and reliable for me. No crashes here neither. No wonder after every Ubuntu release, since the last three releases, I always find myself back using Kubuntu.
I was having those integration problems during the beta, but since the release, GTK apps have been integrated quite well. The best I'm ever seen them in KDE.
Maybe be the problem was caused during...
Why don't you use 10.04 then? It still has another year left on it.
At the moment I have fallen back to using Windows 7 for the mean while. The latest Nvidia driver (295.40) messed up my Linux desktop. Whichever DE I use with 3d effects in both 11.10 and 12.04, have...
My wife wants it the other way around. She doesn't mind us having a dog, but doesn't like cats. She says they are nasty, annoying and ugly. Me on the other hand LOVE cats, but for peace sake I have...
You're in luck, that's a game that runs perfectly under Wine. Even the online game play works flawlessly. I had it installed on Ubuntu for most of last year.
Same here. All the bugs I had before had been fixed since I upgraded to 4.7.4.
Open up System Settings and then go to Account Details. You'll see the Wallet options there. From there you can disable it.
I have been so impressed with the recent improvement in Kubuntu 11.10 brought about after upgrading to KDE 4.7.4, I formated my hard drive, which had a Windows 7 partition, and went back to Linux...
Sounds like you also need to run the update manger and get your computer up to date.
I don't know why you're getting those errors. I haven't had any such issues. I also have Nautilus installed and working with Dropbox, and is working fine.
I might add... what you're having issue with is actually a problem with GTK3 integration. Most GTK2 apps will work perfectly, but GTK3 integration is yet to be added to KDE.
I found a very neat work around for this on the Kubuntu forum. Here's the information I got from Kubuntu forum:
HOWTO: gtk3-engines-oxygen for gtk3 apps

11.10 was only booting fast for me, while Windows 7 did everything else faster. The KDE side of things is closer to Windows 7 in performance.
On a system that Windows Vista, 7, and Kubuntu 11.10 runs super fast, I find Ubuntu (Unity) to be much slower than these other OSs, and it doesn't handle free open source 3d games like Urban Terror...
@Perspectoff. Correction, Ubuntu use to be faster than Windows 7, up until 11.10. That's one of the main reason I dumped Windows 7 last year and went exclusively Linux when Ubuntu 10.04 came out...
Windows 7 works much better than Ubuntu 11.10 for me. Thank God there is Kubuntu 11.10, which keeps getting better with ever update, and I'm now enjoying using it as much as Windows 7. Ubuntu 11.10...
The only thing else I can think of suggesting is adding the none-free repo, if you don't already have it added. Maybe it will make a difference: http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppas/11.
Works for me in Kubuntu 11.10 and Firefox 8. I have the gecko media player plugin, but it should work if you have the restricted extras installed, as the source says it is playing the sounds in mp3...
I use both Windows 7 and Kubuntu 11.10. I'm using Windows to browse the forum right now. Windows 7 has been great since I went back to dual booting. It seems a lot faster at service pack 1. It even...
I had completely switched to Linux for an entire year. I had some hardware failure that forced me to go back to Windows for a time. I bought new hardware at the time of the release of Ubuntu 11.10....
