- you have three scripts in /home/user/scripts/ (e.g.: script1, script2, script3)
- you want to apply one of these three scripts to file...
If I do that will I loose the panels (launchers), windows and icons configurations?
If so, can I make backups of some files and afterwards paste them back?

I've only used rsync in the terminal, more or less like this:
