Well I must say 12.04 has been a total let down.
Random restarts
long touch no longer gives me a right click
Double taps completely ignored
Screen rotate only goes one way U then need a mouse...
Very reason why I use a removable drive and try the new version whilst keeping the previous (working) version in reserve.B-) :D
I can't answer ur question but I will say I always prefer a manual update.
Linux is not windows, you do not need to defrag the partition. I would suggest using a tool such as gparted to shrink your home partition and move the result to your shared partition.
Make sure you...
For anybody interested, you may have noticed you cannot use cellwriter to search the desktop for apps. However kvkbd works fine.
Are trying to boot from a live cd ???
Just add force quit to your task bar.
Help, upgraded from lucid to maverick on my hp tc1100 tablet, all works great but i cannot get the stylus to rotate with screen rotation, it stubbornly refuses to change orientation
OK sorted....

+1 for AWN although I must say my personal favourite is cairo-dock.
You could certainly try virtual box but my advice would be to dump the kodak and by a good value HP, Mostly they just work in linux, If not HPLIP soon sorts them out.
I like crunchbang on low ram machines.
I have just this config, install windows then opensuse then ubuntu I had no probs
I'm not sure what you mean by ATI 3200 driver, Ubuntu does not have a specific driver you should just use the fglrx driver from additional drivers.
wot machine is it ??
I use print to file, it will give you the option of PDF or PS (postsript) and the option of where to save.
You'll be lucky, with just 128Mb ram I would try something like puppy linux.
There is one small problem , I don't think onenote works with wine, at least I have never managed to make it work.
just to add to the HP support, I have found HP to be one of the best with HPLIP, I have rarely found an HP printing or scanning product which does not work, although you do occasionally need firmware...
My personal favourite is K3b, K9copy to copy DVD's (for backup purposes only ofcourse).
Stick with lucid Nvidia96 drivers are not playing in maverick
My advise, don't avoid it.
If you trust the file simply right click on the exe file and in permissions tick the box "Allow executing file as a program".
I think rather than running to window$ lets see if we can't find the problem with your ubuntu connection.
