Can no one help with this problem?

I tried installing some Python stuff from the Synaptic Package Manager window.
First the error was reduced to :
"No Python OpenGL support"
So I presume GTKGLExt support is now OK
Then I installed...

Wanting to try the 3D chess...
Error says
No Python OpenGL support
No Python GTKGLExt support

I have python installed?

What else do I need and How to I install it?

I double-checked and changed a few things & re-booted both machines and eventually got it working.
Weird thing is though the windows laptop couldn't see the Ubuntu box at all...

No firewall that I'm aware of...
As well as the folder I can't access there is also an Ubuntu shared folder which I have no problems accessing, so I'm assuming there's no firewall problems.
