That didn't work for me. My sound doesn't start working again when I restart either. It just stopped working and hasn't worked since.

I have a T61 with 8.10 and my sound has just randomly stopped working. The sound was working before but now it has randomly stopped working. As far as I know nothing is muted.

I don't know if this has already been asked/addressed but my T61 will not suspend or hibernate. Every time I try to suspend or hibernate the laptop it kernel panics. Does anyone know of a fix?
