Yup, got the hang of that one. It's simpler than I thought.
In Ubuntu 12.10 with the latest driver from System76, the SD reader of the Gazelle Pro 8 works perfectly fine.
However when I try to install another distro (dual-boot with Ubuntu), the SD card...
Thanks mate, it was easier than I thought. ANd I also managed to upgrade the firmware of the second SSD to the latest version as well while I was at it.
Cheers.
I ended up fixing it somehow... I went into the boot menu and messed around with it and all of a sudden the 512GB drive that Ubuntu is on popped back up but it wasn't set as the priority boot....
Seems as if my new computer's SSD just crapped out. I'm starting the computer and looking through the boot menu. Instead of the P1: M4-CT512 SSD showing, I'm getting this:

As a sidenote, my 11.04 ran flawlessly. It NEVER crashed on me. It was solid as a rock. Everything that I wanted it to do, it did.
After an upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10, I decided to just go ahead and do a clean install from a boot CD of 11.10.
My computer is pretty solid, 4GB ram 2ghz Sony Vaio.
11.10 is slower than 11.04....
I've tried TrueCrypt 7.0a as well as 7.1. This problem occurs in Ubuntu 11.10.
When the volume size I want to create is around 10GB or above, after TC finishes encrypting, everything freezes and...
@ jfed - yup, the thing on the left with the larger icons.
@ Cat - just tried and it won't let me. Says device is busy/in use. And it's not really.
PS: this is Ubuntu 11.04.
Hi all,
First off, I love Ubuntu. I decided to move to Linux because I wanted something new and different, and I was willing to learn it. I said bye to Vista, and am now thoroughly enjoying this....
