ok i feel like a noobish right now but i have not use ubuntu for a very long time not my own choise but i just install 11.10 and i cant seem to like the new launcher what happen to the gnome desktop...

if you don't mind can you try making another launcher only this time make it for a "terminal" and type this code:
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel
instead of this code try this one, you shouldn't have to log out and back in. It should reset your panels automatically right then and there:
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel...
If you want to install kubuntu-desktop in Ubuntu use the following command in a terminal:
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
after you install it logout out and back in and look at the login...
I agreed I have tried all the docks out there but just ended up with the Gnome panels in the end, I find them to be more for looks.

I thought the original was pretty good except for Ubuntu logo being a bit blurry and yes I will make a wide screen version, can you tell me exactly what dimensions you want and i'll make it :)
