I don't have any PulseAudio or Rhytm installed, but I am quite happy with Alsamixer (amixer from alsa-utils) on my Xubuntu. I just don't know how to boost certain levels (eg. bass or treble).
Ok, editing the file worked. Solved.
Thanks for the tip, but I was more looking for a way of thicker borders so it would be easier to grab.
I am using Axe, but I don't think it's relevant. I have changed some shortucts in Window Manager, but there is no item for zooming stuff. Reseting it to defaults doesn't help. I rember it was...
I was told that there is bult-in feature of zooming-in/out using Alt + scrollwheel. But I can't get it to work. In my Window Manager Tweaks under Accessibility tab I have set the "Key to grab and...

I have started using ALSA as audio controller for my ASUS notebook and one thing that really bugs me is that the only way I can controll the volume is via ALSA's mixer in terminal, is there any way...

Every time I start chromium, it's streched over the whole screen, but it's not maximized. I've already changed my menu shortcut to:
chromium-browser %U --start-maximized
but it still launches...
This might seem like a trivial question, but it bugs me. Every time I want to resize window by dragging the border of it, it feels like I have only 1 pixel for grabbing. Is there any way to make it...

I am programming in Python and I feel comfortable when I can write Python scripts in terminal (to file, not to interactive shell). I was using nano, which is a great small text editor, but it's very...
Ok, solved, thanks.
It seems to be gnome application, does it work on Xubuntu?
Is there any audio equalizer/mixer that would allow me to change the bass output for example when I am playing music from youtube?
I use CTRL + ALT + ARROW to switch workspaces, but how to move to another workspace alongside with the selected/active window on Xubuntu?
