I have it, but yeah, I don't particularly use it any more. On my machine Windows 7 is actually faster than 10.04 and as I've got into music technology a bit more, I shifted to the Windows-only...

This has been my 'go-to' for Ubuntu popularity over the last few years. Now it seems the last time it was this unpopular was way back in 2007.
Maybe it's...
And it's still an issue after all this time...
:P
I've wished for a desktop this simple for a long, long time. Thanks to AWN's customisability, I now have *the* perfect layout (IMO). I have an auto-hidden AWN panel which serves as a complete...
I've decided to go back to basics, and create something really simple to work with. One folder for all my files, and a very unobtrusive layout. It's like a blend of Windows 3.1 and OS X.
It's been a very, very long time since I last touched Ubuntu. Glad I'm back.

Which basically means the 10.04 release.
That was a surprisingly fun survey. Almost makes me feel like a moderator :)
Where do you think LMMS doesn't match up with FL Studio?
Yup, it's nice to use the MacBook for audio production, as the sound quality is very good indeed.
I've fixed the problem. The with-card flag during configure is unnecessary and anyone who wants midi support too should remove it.
I modded Shiki-brave to fit in with an awesome Metacity theme I found from Gnome-look. :)
After a bit more investigating, it turns out that the midi modules "snd-usb-audio" and "snd-rawmidi" weren't loading, and modprobing them returns "module not found" errors.
I've emailed alsa-users...
Can ANYONE help?!
Anyone?
A lot of people like the OSX interface because its elements and widgets are very well-designed. Look at the scrollbar to start with, it looks like a piece of blue glass!
Any ideas?
Just noticed this:
Hi,
I've compiled the latest version of ALSA with the "-with-sequencer" option and cannot get any of my MIDI devices to be detected in different music programs. They are detected via "lsusb", so...
