    Thank you, that last step was the missing part of the puzzle for my Brother DCP540CN scanner setup

    I used "brother2" in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf

    Suggest head back to the Epson website to see what is there, scanner wise. FWIW my Brother AIO has a separate driver for the scanner part.
