Yeah I know,
8.04 was just a test that someone on the the Toughbook Forums suggested (being a Pentium III 800Mhz laptop and all that...).
Didn't even come close to installing anyway...
Here's something different... The screen went all wierd and no keys would work. Back to normal after reboot.
Please check the attached photos.
That happened after leaving Ubuntu 8.04 installing...
Ok... 8.04 is not installing.
Just gives me Dos script after the Ubuntu Install Menu!

I did wonder if it wasn't a Bios problem but seeing as you need an OS to upgrade the Bios, that makes the CF28 a brick... Without a second CF28 to swap drives.
Don't see an option in the bios to recognise non-Dos OS's.
I'll try 8.04 and let you know...

Ok, the "Reboot System Even If Ultimately Broken" doesn't work, so I just Ctrl + Alt + Del to reboot... (the SysRq key is shared with PrtSc... Maybe this is why?)

When I hold SHIFT, the word Grub appears. If I keep holding, the words Grub loading appear but no list or indeed any OS Boot.
