Is Kdbg 2.5.1 working for you on 13.04?

I installed Kdbg 2.5.1-1 from the Raring repos and it doesn't seem to do anything useful -- can't set break points or single step. I get some popup dialogs loading the executable than makes little...

kdbg 2.5.1 broken on Xubuntu 13.04?

I can't seem to get Kdbg 2.5.1 to do anything on Xubuntu 13.04. The 2.5.0 version worked well enough on 12.04 (Linux Mint) although it pops up some spurious error dialogs when first started from the...

[xubuntu] Re: Might want to skip current updates!

Any problems here came from the installer initially or an update, so how can I have any idea on what to check?

As far as I can tell just about any app will cause the crash, even launching...

[xubuntu] Might want to skip current updates!

I installed the 13.04 Xubuntu beta2 and Ubuntu Studio beta2 and both were working well until I allowed the automatic updates yesterday. Now both crash back into the login screen if I do much of...
  7. [ubuntu_studio] Re: Ubuntu Studio 13.04-beta2, yet another fail :(

Well after installing a ton of automatic updates I'm back to fail. Just wasted a whole lot more time to get there with this version :(

System crashes back to login screen if I do much of anything...
  8. [ubuntu_studio] Re: Ubuntu Studio 13.04-beta2, yet another fail :(

I'm happy to say it looks like one of the 289 updates since Thursday seems to have fixed the issue.

I was reinstalling from the CD while posting my complaint. When it finished, there it was in...
  9. [ubuntu_studio] Re: low latency kernel - for other things than audio

Unless you were also using XFCE on your desktop you are looking at the overhead of a "heavyweight" desktop system like Unity, Gnome or KDE.

If you want really fast try Lubuntu (LxDE), but I find...
  10. [ubuntu_studio] Ubuntu Studio 13.04-beta2, yet another fail :(

I've yet to have a Ubuntu Studio installation produce a usable system. Yet another fail with 13.04-beta2, I've tried every LTS release and a few others.

I don't get it, same as always the...
  11. [SOLVED] Re: Tab Indices In Applications Are Black, hence un-readable

When I first noticed the issue I immediately tried changing themes. Running Unity 2D or 3D I didn't have the problem, but switching to LxDE on the Pandaboard and Xubuntu on my amd64 immediately...
  12. [SOLVED] Re: Tab Indices In Applications Are Black, hence un-readable

Switching to greybird seems to have fixed it. Even after switching back to Bluebird and rebooting.

How do I know which are gtk-3 themes?

Most are hideous and/or hard to read.
  13. [SOLVED] Tab Indices In Applications Are Black, hence un-readable

I can't stand using Unity so I'm looking at Xubuntu and LMDE for the future beyond 10.04. Certainly with the current state of things, waiting for 14.04 in hopes things get better is not totally off...

    [SOLVED] apt-mirror arm repos syntax?

I'm trying to setup an apt-mirror local repo for Pandaboard ES (OMAP4) systems using apt-mirror.

  23. [other] Re: Pandaboard ES OMAP4 restricted video drivers?
